Kenya, a medium sized developing country in East Africa is endowed with great wildlife, cultural, historic and natural resources. You can never get bored on a tour to the country. Almost every year, the country achieves something no other African Country has. One of the reasons you should visit the country is to witness some of the hardest working people in the whole world. Kenyans work day and night to provide for their families and also to satisfy their need of a luxurious life. If you visit the streets of the capital city of Nairobi, the only thing that distinguishes day from night is the street lights. Otherwise life goes on almost as normally as it did during the day. Most Kenyans wake up by three in the morning to get to their places of work long before their reporting hours. Most hold official jobs and side businesses which they run via mobile phones or with the help of their wives. If a Kenyan man is not able to adequately meet the needs of his family, he is deemed a failure by the society. A man's ego cannot allow this thus the need to work hard.

Another reason that has put Kenya on the global recognition map is the fact that the current president of the United States of America has his routes in this country. This happens to be in a small village known as Kogelo in the western part of the country. Many locals and foreigners come to the place to experience the life of those closely related to the American President. His father hails from this town and some of his relatives still stay here. When he was a Senator, he visited the country and his roots too. Most hope he will now that he is a president. Do not miss a chance to know the country that has produced such a great man. The town of Kogelo has become a great tourist destination.

Do not miss a chance to witness one of very few African countries that learns from its mistakes and rises up from them fast. In 2007, the country was involved in tribal clashes after a faulty election process. Many people lost their lives and millions were left homeless and without any means of livelihood after this. The country's economy was almost at a stand still. The quick intervention of global peace bodies and friendly countries brought the two warring sides to an agreement that has been honored to date. The tribes have leant to co-exist and work together to boost the economy that was almost shattered in a few days' clashes. This has seen the country move forward. Recently a peaceful referendum took place that saw a new constitution being passed by majority of the people. This was clear evidence that the people of Kenya have learnt from their mistakes and have learnt to embrace each other's opinions and differences without necessarily having to fight over them.

Kenya is one country that loves being on top of technology and advancement. The construction of modern highways is one spectacular site one should not miss. This is a current project that is seeing the expansion of major highways to meet international standards. This is a first in East Africa, and apart from South Africa, no other country will be this far in development. Come see the men working on this historical project day and night. The project is costing the country a few hundred million dollars but it is worth it. This will transform the transport network in Kenya completely.
